Part of the Maine Birds series. Barred Owls can mostly be found deep in the woods, perhaps watching you from it’s high perch. They nest in abandoned tree cavities, and have 2-3 hatchlings at a time. They feast mostly on small critters and rodents. They have distinct brown eyes and a yellow beak (took some artistic liberty there :)
